Week1๐๐ซ
I enjoyed eating inflight meal in an airplane. It was like Japanese foods, so I was so happy. The flight time was so long, and I actually wanted to breath fresh air. when I arrived in Kamloops, I saw the beautiful scenery. I was surprised that there are a lot of nature in Canada. I got tension until I found my host mother. I met my host mother, and we went to back our home. After taking a rest, my mom showed me around Kamloops. The 3rd picture was view which I saw in Canada for the first time.
On Sunday, I went to the church with mom. Also, this was first time to go there. I expected it was formal, but it was different. I listened songs and talking to people. Moreover, I ate a hot dog, donuts, and drink for free. It was a very good experience.
The class started on Monday. I felt relieved when I met my friends at school. I went downtown as activity in class. I met the overseas dog, which has blue eyes. I touched it and thought I wanted to meet to my pets. And we explored there with everyone and took many pictures. It was a great memory for me.
Week2๐โฐ
Everything was new for me. First and third photo are foods that my mom made. I love her cook. She makes me very delicious and plentiful foods. I was surprised because my first lunch was so big.
Second photo is from when I went to eat pancakes at TRU. They also gave me oranges and strawberries. They were very yummy. I spent good time in the morning. When I was eating, I was able to talk to new persons. I had a good time.
Forth photo is from when we went gold panning. We saw several plants and birds until we reached our destination. However, we didn’t see gold. Although I wanted to see it, it was fun because I was able to see a lot of nature. My mind was refreshed.
Fifth photo was taken with a friend I met at Focus Club. I have met many people since joining it. I talked to many people, and I learned many things like religions and different things. I was happy to make new friends.
Week3๐๐ฅ
First photo is from when I talked to my roommate. We talked about girls’ talk. We laughed a lot together. She was very kind and interesting. I really enjoyed speaking English.
We did rock climbing and played golf as activities this week. When rocking climbing, I felt it was very important to have muscles. My arm was sore the next day. We played golf the next day of rocking climbing. So, I also used my arms, and they were very tired. Since I like moving by body, it was so fun. It was very hard to hit golf balls, but I want to do it again. It was very hard to hit golf balls. โณ๏ธ
I went to theatre alone in downtown. I saw the movie of NORTH OF NOMAL. If I volunteer in theatre, I can see a movie for free. I served drinks to customers. It was not easy to understand English. The content was based on what actually happened at an elementary school for indigenous children. I learned new things in Canada from this.
I went to Costco with host mother and roommates. I’ve never been there, but I’ve always wanted to go. All products were very big size. I was happy to come here. There were many products not sold in Japan. I was so excited. Moreover, I met my teacher. I was happy to see you, so I took a picture. Yeah!!!!
The fifth photo is pierogi that I ate at home. This is a European or Ukrainian dish. It looks like dumpling, but it’s different from it. It has bacon, potato, and cheese. I love this. I was able to know new different dishes.
Week4โ๏ธ๐๐
We went to Vancouver for a three-day weekend. On the first day we ate Hakata ramen and went shopping. Vancouver was a big city with a different atmosphere than Kamloops. It was crowded with many people. The second day we went to Granville Island. We drank donuts and beer and bought some souvenirs.

When we were eating it, we were able to see a beautiful view. I also drank beer and ate clam chowder. In addition, I bought some souvenirs. I enjoyed Vancouver to the fullest and this is a memory that will last a lifetime for me.
Week5๐ฎโฝ๏ธ๐ฒ๐ฝ
A month has passed since I came to Canada. I felt it was a little slow. I was able to experience many things. And I went to a lot of places. One day I went to a park alone to see beautiful view. I walked around park for two hours. I felt relaxed and refreshed by seeing a lot of nature. After that, I went to the Mexican restaurant with my roommates. I ate real Mexican foods for the first time. They let me try different foods such as some tacos and alcohols. Some tasted different and some were very delicious. I was really happy to eat foods from different country. I also walked with my friends near my house. We always talked about love story. I and she have different and same ideas, so it was very fun to talk to her. I had a great time with them. I appreciate them very much.
I went to watch the last soccer game. The game won, so I was so pleased. I’ve never actually seen overseas soccer game, so I was very excited. And I really enjoyed.
I went to hiking with my friends. It was not long, but I was tired. We talked about love story. And we laughed a lot. On the top, we ate fruits, Doritos, and cookies, and so on. Moreover, I can see a beautiful view. I spent a great a good time. In addition, we went to see three waterfalls. They were very nice and powerful. Negative ions soothed my soul.
Week6๐ฅ๐โฐ
I went to see musical with my host mother. The musical was gaslight. It was mystery. So, it was little difficult to understand contents of the musical. However, it was good experiences for me. The performance was very powerful, and the content was very interesting.
On October 17th, it was Misako’s birthday. Her smile was very cute. She turned 20! Happy birthday๐ I was so happy because I saw her happy face. Thank you.
I joined the hiking club. One of the men gave me the shoes for hiking. It was a little hard to go hiking. However, I achieved the top, my fatigue was gone because I saw a beautiful and awesome scenery. The great thing about hiking is that I can see a variety of scenery. I think I might try hiking in Japan too.
Week7๐ด๐๐๐
We went to O’Keefe Ranch as an activity. I saw many animals and a lot of nature. They were so cute. They were eating feeds and sleeping. We also went to the corn maze. It was very easy to achieve a goal, but I really enjoyed with my friends.
I join focus club every Friday. I made many friends there. I can meet to people from different countries. And I can learn about religions and study English. There are several questions each time and we discuss them in groups. Sometimes it is very hard for me, but it’s fine. They help me to understand easily. She is one of the friends. She is very cute and kind. She’s always smiling. I’m happy to see her.
One morning, my earring was stuck in my earlobe. I was very scared and anxious. I asked my host mother for help. She told me that you should go to the hospital. Before leaving home, I tried to put it out, but I wasn’t able to do that. My teacher made an appointment at the hospital. I went to there at 3 p.m. I was very nervous, but nurses were very kind and made me feel relaxed. Although the anesthesia was very painful, I endured it. When my earrings came out, I was very relieved. Thank you.
After going to hospital, I curved a pumpkin for Halloween, I talked to Becky. Since she was very friendly, we talked a lot. My first-time pumpkin curving was difficult, but I really enjoyed it. I thought it was more common than Japan. I went to see my pumpkin with my host mother at night after a few days. My and her pumpkins were lighting. They were very beautiful. There were many pumpkins. Each pumpkin has unique designs, and they were very interesting. I’ve never done that, so I was really fun.
Week8๐ป๐๐
On October 31st was Halloween๐ป I was looking forward to this day. I bought the dress and afro for this day. I was a little embarrassed. We enjoyed curving pumpkin. It was not easy, but it was fun. I n Japan, itโs not popular to celebrate Halloween. Everything is new for us.
After school, we hanged out with Tarun. I went to the restaurant for the first time. We drunk and ate poutine. It is one of the famous foods of Canada’s cuisine. I like them. She drinks also were very delicious. I had a very good time there. After eating dinner, we went to see hooky game. I’ve never seen it, so I was very excited. We cheered to our term. The atmosphere was pretty good, and I thought I want to go there. It was one of the good memories.โจ
Week9๐ฅ๐ฟ
I went to see a movie that day, The movie was called the musical. And I thought it lookedใinteresting . As the name suggests, the music was playing all the time and there wasn’t much of a story, so it wasn’t that great. Furthermore, there were really only a few people watching.
There is a squirrel in the photo. It was so cute eating the nuts. I was very happy because I can’t see wild squirrels in Japan.
Third photo is one of the dinners which my mother cooked. It was like Canadian cuisine. All food was very good, and I love her meals. So, I’m always looking forward to them.
On Sunday, I and mother went to a church. I like church because I can talk to many people and feel new culture. I met some people there. After church, we went to eat a lunch at Blue Fish Sushi. I ordered a Korean roll. It was very very delicious. I enjoyed talking and eating with them.
Week10
Banff trip๐ฉโ๏ธ
We went to Banff. It took for 7 hours by bus. We talked about our life deeply while riding the bus. It was a chance to think of my life and family. I wanted to say, “Thank you for everyone.” We were not able to contact taxi, but Taurn helped me, and we finally arrived at hotel. We had a relaxing time and ate dinner together. In the morning. we left the hotel, and we went to eat a breakfast. I ordered a bread and Matcha latte. Both were very tasty. We had a cheerful time in the morning. After that, we went to Louies Lake at first and it took for 1 hour by bus. When I saw a beautiful view of scenery, I felt very happy to be able to go to Banff. I saw the scenery that I can’t see in Japan. Water in lake was so clear and I touched the water and then it was too cold.
Day2๐ฅฉ๐๐ช
In the afternoon, we took a bus with tour guide. There were some people expect for us. We went to different places and saw some amazing view. We ate the dinner at Maple Leaf. I drunk red wine there for the first time. The food was very gorgeous and yummy!!! I was not able to say it was tasty, because it was very bitter. When will I feel wine is tasty? I have no idea. After buying alcohol, we headed to the hotel. We talked about a love talk over drinks and sweets. It was very fun, and I really enjoyed. Satsuki seemed tired and went to bed first.
I met Joy and Brianna at church, and we became friends. We hanged out after school. One of them has a car. So, she picked us up and we headed to her home. Their English was so fast. I asked them ” Could you speak English slowly?”. They said, oh… sorry, of course. It became easier to understand their English. We talked about love, laughed a lot, and ate spicy ramen. Nothing will change unless you take action; in other words, doing something will make a difference. So I thought I’d try anything. I really enjoyed my time with them. I’m very happy to meet them.
Week11๐ถ๐
Nanami and I went to Starbucks after school and drank a Canada-only Frappuccino. I don’t eat out very often, so I was happy to be able to experience a foreign atmosphere. And it was very delicious and I felt very happy.

I went to the Christmas lighting ceremony. I thought it was already Christmas season, but it was only a month ago. Isn’t it too early to start decorating? The tree was so big and shining and beautiful. We all took lots of photos and had fun.

We went on a wine tour with Tarun. I have different tastes depending on the wine. But I learned about the history of wine and about Kelowna. Afterwards, the three of us had lunch together. We all had so much fun doing silly things and laughing. I thought I’d like to live here when I get older. It was a beautiful day experiencing nature and seeing beautiful scenery.
It was a shopping day with Misa, Ryu, and Satsuki. A beautiful day started with a big pancake. It was very delicious and not too sweet. After that, everyone went shopping on their own and finally went to a thrift store. I found the best outerwear that suits me. I thought it was $40 but I was wrong by $250. Oh my goodness. I bought it the next day. This is a souvenir for me. Thank you my dad.

This dog is a therapy dog โโand I saw him when he participated in the Christmas parade. It was so cute that I had to touch it. There were so many people there and I felt like a model and had a lot of fun. This is a photo from when I went to see the lake with my friends, it was so cold that the water was almost frozen.

I worked at the theater as a volunteer. My mom does this, so she recommended it to me. It was my first time and there were many things I didn’t understand, but when I asked them questions, they answered kindly. I made one mistake, but the worker told me that it was tricky. So, don’t worry. You did an amazing job. Those words saved me a lot. This is also a very valuable experience for me. I felt it was important to try everything.
I attended the LEAP Christmas party. It was my first time participating and I was really looking forward to it. There were various activities and I enjoyed them all. Some of my friends from Focus Club were also there. So I was happy to meet you. I was especially happy that Tarun was there. On the way back, I went back with AK and his friends. It was so much fun that I didn’t want to go home. AK gave me a ride home and I am very grateful to him. Thank you! ! !
